The Candidates Committee of the Massachusetts and Rhode Island Chapter put together another successful program to assist candidates through the designation process. This informational session included a discussion of the new changes to the Appraisal Institute's Candidates for Designation program that were recently adopted by the National Board of Directors as well as tips for studying for the Comprehensive Exam.

Handout - Basic Facts about the Comprehensive Exam

Previous Candidates Meetings
The first meeting of the Candidates for Designation (C4D) took place on February 28th, 2013 at the Federal Reserve Boston.  Candidates met with potential advisors and learned the details of the C4D Program from Kenneth L. Dicks, MAI, Chair of the Candidates Guidance Committee.  Over 35 candidates and advisors attended this event.  A copy of the presentation is available upon request.

Candidate Meeting Attendance Eliminated effective May 2015
The Candidate Attendance Requirement, which stated a candidate must attend at least Appraisal Institute event each year, was eliminated by the Board of Directors in May 2015, and a Candidate will now see a note on his/her MY AI Account page that it is no longer required.
